Your Crunchy Mom Friend is a trade name of Above Our Love LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, 30 North Gould Street, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("we", "us"). Questions: [email protected].
What we collect
- What you give us: your email address, and when you ask for it your first name and whether you're pregnant or postpartum (see "Pregnancy and health information" below).
- When you buy: your first name, email, what you bought, how you chose to pay and your payment status (for example, which plan payments have been made). Card details go straight to Stripe, which keeps your card on file for plan payments and anything you choose to add after checkout. We only see the card brand, the last four digits and the expiry date.
- On calls with Mel: anything you choose to share, including about your baby. We use it only to support you. Group calls may be recorded and shared with the group.
- How you use the site: pages visited, clicks, the device and browser you use and roughly where you are (country/city level), through analytics tools. We store a one-way scrambled version of your email (a hash) with these events, never the plain address. A hash is still personal information; we use it only to connect site activity to sign-ups and purchases.
- Session recordings: PostHog and Microsoft Clarity record how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement) so we can fix pages that confuse people. What you type into forms is hidden, and nothing is recorded on checkout pages. Microsoft may also use Clarity data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- Small files in your browser (cookies): ones that remember the guides you have access to on this device (aol_guide_…, aol_library), which version of a page you saw (aol_exp), whether you voted in a poll, and analytics cookies from PostHog and Clarity.
Pregnancy and health information
Whether you're pregnant or postpartum is health information, and we treat it with extra care.
- Why we ask: only to choose which emails to send you, so a pregnant mama doesn't get newborn emails and the other way round. We also count, without your email address, how many pregnant and postpartum mamas sign up for each guide.
- It's your choice: by choosing an answer and signing up, you agree to us using it this way. You can ask us to delete it at any time and we will, within 30 days.
- Where it's kept: with your email address in Resend, the service that sends our emails, and in PostHog, our analytics tool, linked to the scrambled version of your email.
- What we never do: sell it, use it for advertising, share it with advertisers or data brokers, or share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
- Your rights: you can ask to see it, delete it or withdraw your consent by writing to [email protected]. This includes the rights given by Washington's My Health My Data Act, Nevada's consumer health data law and similar state laws. If we ever wanted to use it in another way, we'd ask you first.
How we use it
To deliver what you sign up for or buy, take your payments, send you the emails you asked for, answer you when you write, keep the site working and secure, and understand which pages are useful. We don't sell your information.
Who helps us
We use these service providers, who process data for us under their own privacy terms: Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Cloudflare (hosting and security), PostHog (site analytics and session recordings) and Microsoft Clarity (heatmaps and session recordings), plus any course or booking platform we name when you buy. Some of them are in the United States, so your information may be processed there.
How long we keep it
- Contact details: while you're on our list or own one of our products, and up to 30 days after you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Purchase and payment records: 7 years, for tax and accounting.
- Analytics and session recordings: for the period set in PostHog and Microsoft Clarity, then deleted automatically.
Your choices
These choices are open to everyone, wherever you live.
- Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information by writing to [email protected]. We'll reply within 30 days. If we delete your information, links to products you bought will stop working, because they're tied to your email.
- You can clear or block cookies in your browser; the guide reader then asks you to confirm your email again.
Children
This site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page, and email you about any important change.
